Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male adult that occurred on Saturday, May 21, 2016, in the 38100 block of 50^th Street East, Palmdale.

Detectives have learned that at approximately 11:30 pm, there was a large birthday party at the location when an argument began between two male Black adults. During the argument, the victim was shot three times in the torso by the suspect.

After the shooting, the suspect fled the location in an unknown direction.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

It is unknown if the incident is gang related.

There is no witness information or additional information available at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
