Recently there have been several bear sightings throughout Readington Township, most recently Lake Cushetunk and Hoagland Rd areas. This is normal behavior for this time of year. Since bears have been seen in the area, residents should be aware of their surroundings. If you see a cub, do not get between a cub and its mother.
