Turning restrictions in place at WIS 28/Taylor Drive in Sheboygan County

Public reminded fines double in work zone 

(Sheboygan County) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Northeast Region office is reminding the traveling public that signed, turning restrictions are in place for the WIS 28 reconstruction project at the WIS 28/Taylor Drive intersection in Sheboygan County. Vehicles making illegal turns are subject to fines that double in work zones. The Sheboygan Police Department is providing enforcement in the work zone.  

Various turning restrictions will be in place until mid-September. Signed, alternate routes are provided to the traveling public as an option to avoid the construction area.

Current WIS 28/Taylor Drive intersection restrictions:

• WIS 28 (Washington Avenue) eastbound is reduced to one through lane and one right turn lane. Left turn onto Taylor drive northbound is prohibited. Follow signed alternate route to access Taylor Drive north.
   
• WIS 28 (Washington Avenue) westbound is reduced to one through lane. Left and right turns onto Taylor Drive is prohibited.
  
   
• Taylor Drive northbound at WIS 28 (Washington Avenue) is reduced to one left turn lane, one through lane and one right turn lane.
   
• Taylor Drive southbound at WIS 28 (Washington Avenue) is reduced to one through lane. Left and right turns onto WIS 28 (Washington Avenue) is prohibited. Please follow signed alternate route to access WIS 28 (Washington Avenue).
   
• Taylor drive northbound alternate route: Germaine Avenue to Greenwing Drive back to WIS 28 (Washington Avenue).
   
• Taylor drive southbound alternate route: Crocker Avenue to S. 32^nd Street back to WIS 28 (Washington Avenue).
