Motorcyclist seriously injured after being struck by vehicle 
On Wednesday May 18th, 2016, at 1945 hours, the Chula Vista Police Department received several 911 calls reporting a vehicle versus a motorcycle traffic collision, at 300 Marina Parkway. Officers arrived to find a badly injured motorcycle rider down, already being attended to by EMS and fire personnel. The male rider was transported to UCSD by ambulance. He sustained a broken leg and several lacerations. He is currently in serious but stable condition. The driver of the other involved vehicle, 20 year old Alejandro Sanchez of Chula Vista, was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol. Sanchez was arrested and booked at San Diego Central Jail, for felony DUI. Additionally, speed is also being considered a factor in this collision.
The Chula Vista Police Traffic Division will be conducting the investigation.
