Advisory

Press Release: Shooting into an Inhabited Dwelling. Photo included.

At about 8:20 AM today, Pleasanton Police Officers responded to the Park Hacienda Apartment Complex located in the 5600 block of Owens Dr. in Pleasanton.

The initial report was of a shooting that had just taken place outside one of the apartments. A preliminary investigation revealed that 33 year-old Lester Carl HALL of San Francisco went to an apartment to confront his ex-girlfriend, who lives there with several adult family members. Witnesses reported that during the confrontation, HALL fired several shots from a silver handgun into the apartment. He then ran from the scene.

When officers arrived, they learned that nobody there had apparently been injured. A perimeter was established and a shelter in place advisory was issued to residents of the complex while an extensive search of the apartment complex and surrounding area was conducted. A California Highway Patrol aircraft as well as officers from the BART and Livermore Police Departments assisted in the search.

At about 10:15 AM, investigative leads were developed which confirmed that HALL was no longer in the immediate area, and the shelter in place advisory was lifted.

We are currently working with allied law enforcement agencies to locate and apprehend HALL, who is considered armed and dangerous. Anybody who sees HALL is advised NOT to confront him and instead call 911.

HALL is described as a White Male Adult, 6’ tall, 285 lbs. black hair and brown eyes. He may be wearing a light colored hooded sweatshirt and light colored pants. He is pictured below.
