Synopsis: An 81 year old female was driving her 2007 VW Passat westbound on Poway Rd. She crossed into the eastbound lanes at Sabre Springs Parkway. About 1/4 mile west of the intersection she hit a 72 year old male driving a 2008 Cadillac CTS. He suffered only a complaint of pain from the collision. The driver of the VW suffered serious injuries. As a result, she died at the hospital several hours later. Traffic Division is investigating.
