Suspicious Activity

The Escondido Police Department is seeking information regarding a suspicious male in the area of the 1000 block of E. Washington Ave. On May 9th, a white male, age 40-50 years old, driving an older red convertible, attempted to lure a teen-aged female into his car by offering her money to give him directions. The female did not get into the car and reported the incident to police. On the same day, a citizen observed a similar vehicle / driver in the same area slow down and speak to a young teen-aged girl, and this girl did get into the car. The citizen followed the car and believes the male driver saw he was being followed and dropped the girl off before speeding away.
