#LASD Deputies Arrest three Suspects involved in a Shooting, Atlantic Avenue and Compton Boulevard, Compton

DATE:                  Tuesday, May 17, 2017

TIME:                   1:00 a.m.

LOCATION:        Atlantic Avenue and Compton Boulevard, Compton

VICTIM:               Male adult

SUSPECT:          Leslie Frazierck , Male Black, 27 years-old  

SUSPECT:          Mannix Gardner, Male Black, 45 years-old

SUSPECT:          David Evans, Male Black, 21 years-old

UNIT:                    Lieutenant Lecrivain, Compton Sheriff’s Station

 

While on routine patrol, Sergeant Kim heard gun shots in the area of Compton Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue, Compton. 

As Sergeant Kim drove along Atlantic Avenue, he observed a black Nissan Pathfinder with its lights off and fleeing the area at a high rate of speed.  Believing the vehicle was involved in a shooting, Sergeant Kim initiated a pursuit of an assault with a deadly weapon vehicle. 

Approximately one minute later, the suspects yielded at 12833 Gibson Avenue, Compton.  All three suspects were arrested without incident for an Assault with a Deadly weapon and currently being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.   

Deputies recovered a 9 MM semi-automatic handgun during a canvass of the pursuit route.  Simultaneously, Compton Station received a telephone call from personnel at Saint Francis Medical Center, who stated the victim had been shot by a male Black at “The Patio Motel,” located at Atlantic Avenue and Compton Boulevard, in the city of Compton.

The victim sustained one gunshot wound to his left forearm and is expected to survive his injuries.

Deputies responded to the Patio Motel and found one, 9 MM expended shell casing as well as blood at the scene.  They also reviewed the surveillance video from the motel and it captured the suspects fleeing the scene in the suspect vehicle.
