0642 Hours: Officer Musantry responded to the 37000 block of Magnolia Street to investigate the theft of a teal 1991 Honda CRX (CA 5ZIS447).

0810 Hours: Officer Mapes investigated an auto burglary near the Sears department store, located at 200 NewPark Mall. The victim reported that tools and radio detection equipment had been stolen from the vehicle.

0917 Hours: A 37 year old Newark male self-surrendered in the Police Department lobby on his two outstanding warrants. The suspect was issued a citation and released with a new court date.

1401 Hours: Officer Jackman arrested a 47 year old Newark female for shoplifting at JC Penny’s. The suspect was released with a citation.

2044 Hours: During a pedestrian stop in the Home Depot parking lot, Officer Jackman cited and released a 25 year old Newark male for his misdemeanor warrant.

0450 Hours: While investigating an alarm at the Silliman Center, Officer Norvell contacted a 30 year old transient male in the parking lot. The suspect had two outstanding misdemeanor warrants and was arrested and booked at the Santa Rita Jail.
