Please get out and give blood! This is a friendly competition among public servants and many people will benefit from the donated blood. 
Calling all Jackson Police Officers (active and retired), family, friends and supporters of JPD, we need your help to retain the Life Line Blood Services trophy. The first day of giving blood was May 16 and seven people gave blood on behalf of the Madison County Sheriff's Department. This was a strong start.
However, JPD had two to give blood on the first day. The Jackson Sun has Lt. Cleven Davis of the Madison County Sheriff's Department documented as saying, "without a doubt we are going to be the winners this year". I believe this is a premature statement. Let's get out and prove Lt. Davis and the Madison County Sheriff's Department wrong.
