HCSO Deputy Arrested.
On Monday, May 16, 2016, the Harris County Sheriff’s has arrested employee Jose J. Ramirez.
Deputy Ramirez was a two and one half year veteran of the Harris County Sheriff’s office, assigned to evening shift Patrol Bureau.
Deputy Ramirez was found to be involved in the Felony offense of Misuse of Official Information.
Deputy Ramirez activities were brought to the attention of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Internal Affairs Division after investigators with the Houston Police Department Vice Division and the Houston Police Proactive IAD Unit noticed that this deputy was conducting random checks of license plate numbers of vehicles that frequented a game room, Airport Game Room, located in the City of Houston that was managed by his wife.
It is alleged that these license plate checks were being conducted to provide his wife information if patrons entering her establishment were suspected law enforcement personnel.
Deputy Ramirez he has been suspended from duty without pay as the IAD investigation progresses. We are appreciative for the hard work of the Houston Police Department and the combined efforts with their department to affect the arrest of this individual.
Deputy Ramirez was arrested by members of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
