Two suspects linked to numerous strong armed robberies are arrested; detectives search for additional victims

DATE/TIME: May 16, 2016

INCIDENT: Strong Arm Robbery

LOCATION: Rancho Cucamonga

SUSPECT(S): Jeff Jackson 51-year-old male from San Bernardino
Porchia Chisom 32-year-old female from San Bernardino

SUMMARY: On April 10, 2016, deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department responded to a strong arm robbery at the Circle K convenience store at 6539 Milliken Avenue. Video surveillance identified a male and female enter the store and attack the store clerk before stealing the store cash register, lottery tickets and several cartons of cigarettes. Both suspects fled the store and entered a Chevrolet Malibu sedan.

On April 25, 2016, deputies investigated another convenience store strong arm robbery with the suspect description and vehicle description similar to the April 10th robbery. Rancho Cucamonga Police detectives reviewed both robberies and through a detailed investigation, identified the male and female suspects as Jeff Jackson and Porchia Chisom. Detectives linked Jackson and Chisom to additional strong arm robberies throughout San Bernardino County and Riverside County. Detectives obtained arrests warrants for both Jackson and Chisom.

On May 10, 2016, Jackson was arrested in the city of San Bernardino. A search warrant of Jackson’s residence was obtained, and property linking Jackson and Chisom to the robberies was discovered.

On May 13, 2016, with assistance from San Bernardino Police Department, Chisom was located and arrested in the city of San Bernardino. Jackson and Chisom were booked into the West Valley Detention for strong arm robbery. Jackson’s bail was set at $1,000,000, and Chisom’s bail was set at $100,000.

Detectives believe Jackson and Chisom may have committed additional strong arm robberies throughout Southern California.
