I have a very important announcement.
Today starts the Fourth Annual Battle of the Badges blood donation contest.
To all family, friends, and supporters of the Jackson Police Department, we asking you to give blood in the name of the Jackson Police Department.
Lifeline Blood Services is "Fishing for Blood" to help save lives during this annual Battle of the Badges contest. This is friendly competition between all public service agencies.
Each person who participates will be able to show support for their favorite public safety agency by signing the list at the front desk, plus they will know they have helped the summer blood needs for area hospitals.
Currently, all blood types are needed, but there is a critical need for the negative types, O negative, A negative and B negative.
The Battle of the Badges Contest is May 16th through May 27th at Lifeline Blood Services, 183 Sterling Farms Drive, Jackson, TN.
Blood donation hours are: Monday and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday, 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
