Multiple Drugs Found in Vehicle after Stop
Putnam County—This afternoon at 2:10, Indiana State Police Trooper Yan Dravigne stopped a 2002 Honda passenger car for an unsafe lane movement and following too close on Interstate 70 westbound near the 46 mile marker.
During conversations with the driver and passenger, indicators of criminal activity were detected. A search of the vehicle yielded approximately (2) grams of Methamphetamine; (6) glass pipes with Methamphetamine residue; 329 counterfeit prescription drug pills; 140 syringes; digital scales; assorted drug paraphernalia and plastic bags consistent with illegal drug activity. The duo was en-route from Anderson, IN. to Oklahoma City, OK. Both taken to Putnam County Jail.
Arrested: Alfred Hoffman, age 59, Oklahoma City, OK (Driver)
Arrested: Phillip Penrod, age 32, Oklahoma City, OK (Passenger)
Both were charged with:
Dealing in Counterfeit Substance
Possession of Contraband Legend Drugs
Possession of Methamphetamine
Possession of Paraphernalia
Possession of Syringes
Taken to Putnam County Jail.
Assisting were ISP Troopers James Wells and Matt Ames.
Under the Law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
