The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community. 
May 11th.
1026 Hours: Officer Heckman contacted and arrested a 46 year old Newark male for an outstanding arrest warrant. The suspect was booked into the Santa Rita Jail.
1755 Hours: Detective Lopez responded to a disturbance on Mulberry Street. A 30 year old Newark male was arrested for a restraining order violation and booked at the Fremont Jail.
