Robbery Suspects Arrested.
Allen Jackson, 18 year old male of Modesto has been arrested for attempted robbery, conspiracy, possession of stolen property and felony evading. Dominic Lewis-Bation, 18 year old male of Manteca has been arrested for robbery and conspiracy.
On Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at approximately 3:30 A.M., Turlock Police Department responded to the Arco Gas Station located at 2219 Lander Avenue on a report of a robbery. Lewis-Bation entered the business, pointed a handgun at an employee and demanded money. An undisclosed amount of money was given to Lewis-Bation. When officers arrived, they did not locate the suspect. Since Turlock Police Department investigated two similar robberies which occurred on May 8, 2016, Turlock Officers and Officers from the California State University Stanislaus began extra patrolling other gas stations / convenience stores.
A California State University Stanislaus Officer saw a vehicle pull into the parking lot of the Arco Gas Station located at 4700 N. Golden State Boulevard. This officer ran the license plate on the vehicle and it came back as a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was followed by the officer until Turlock Officers could arrive to assist. A traffic stop was initiated near Whitmore Avenue / US 99. The vehicle failed to yield and a pursuit ensued. The vehicle fled through Ceres and Modesto where crashed into a planter bed near the intersection of 9th Street and I St.
Three suspects fled from the vehicle. A perimeter was set up in the area with the assistance of Modesto Police Department, Ceres Police Department and the California State University Stanislaus Police Department. Jackson and Lewis-Bation were located and taken into custody. The third suspect was not apprehended.
Through the course of this investigation, it was determined, Lewis-Bation was involved in the robbery that had taken place on May 8, 2016 at the Arco Gas Station located at 4700 N. Golden State Boulevard.
The Turlock Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance on the whereabouts of the third suspect. This suspect is described as a black male adult and has a thin / medium build. If this suspect is located, do not approach or attempt contact, and call 9-1-1.
