The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community.
May 10th.
1043 Hours: Officer Homayoun responded to the Police Department lobby and arrested a 36 year old San Jose male for his outstanding warrant. The suspect was issued a citation and released.
1413 Hours: Officer Ackerman responded to the 6300 block of Zulmida Avenue regarding a disturbance. A 61 year old Newark female was arrested and booked at the Santa Rita Jail for Malicious Mischief.
1553 Hours: Officer Johnson initiated a traffic stop and arrested the 28 year old female driver from San Jose on her outstanding warrant. The suspect was booked at the Fremont Jail.
1558 Hours: Officer Homayoun responded to the 6100 block of Market Street to investigate a stolen White 1992 Chrysler LeBaron (CA license plate 3BIR241).
2304 Hours: Officer Smith responded to the 36600 block of Beutke Drive for a disturbance. A 43 year old Newark woman was arrested for battery and booked at the Santa Rita Jail.
0421 Hours: Officer Geser responded to the 6700 block of Montcalm Avenue to investigate a stolen Green 1996 Honda Civic. (CA License plate 3STW819)
