Two Victorville residents are arrested for residential burglary after breaking into a home

SUSPECT(S): Taj Carter, 18 year old Victorville resident
16 year old male, Victorville resident
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Monday, May 9, 2016 at 12:16 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Department, responded to a call from a juvenile who reported that he was home alone and someone was breaking into his house. The victim, who hid in a bathroom, said he heard loud banging on the front door and soon after heard someone going through things inside of the home.
Deputy Antonio Acosta arrived at the location and noticed a front window was open. The suspects heard the deputy’s patrol car as it stopped at the location and exited through the back of the house. Acosta cleared the house and secured the victim. An area check of the neighborhood led deputies to the back yard of a neighboring house, where the two suspects were found hiding in a playhouse.
Taj Carter was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center for burglary. The second suspect was arrested and booked at the Juvenile Detention facility in San Bernardino for burglary.
