On Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at approximately 10:01 AM, Sausalito Police Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Woodward Ave on a report of a burglary that had just occurred.

The victim reported that the burglar had entered the residence through an unlocked door and attempted to steal a computer. When the burglar noticed the victim was at home, the burglar dropped the computer and fled the scene on foot. The burglar was described as a black male juvenile who was wearing a hoodie, jeans, and white tennis shoes.

While searching for the burglar, the Sausalito Police Department requested additional personnel from the Marin County Sheriff’s Office. A Marin County Sheriff’s Deputy located a 14 year old juvenile in the area of Bridgeway at Nevada who matched the description of the burglar. The juvenile was detained by the Deputy until he was positively identified by witnesses to the crime.

The juvenile was arrested for burglary and booked into the Marin County Juvenile Detention Center.
