This afternoon, a LeFlore County jury sentenced Elvis Thacker to life in prison without parole for the murder of Briana Ault in 2010. Friday, the same jury found him guilty of the murder. The jury also sentenced Thacker to 20 years in prison for forcible sodomy. Ault was reported missing from Fort Smith, Arkansas, in 2010. Her nude body was found in a pond in Pocola, Oklahoma. Her throat had been cut. Brothers Elvis and Johnathen Thacker quickly became suspects. Johnathen pled guilty to first degree murder and received life in prison and agreed to testify for the prosecution.
