The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community.
May 2nd.
1535 Hours: Officers responded to the 5300 block of Jarvis Avenue for an interrupted residential burglary. The victim reported a male suspect had broken into her residence and fled the scene. Officer Losier located the suspect on Abington Drive and arrested the 23 year old male from Newark. The suspect was booked at the Fremont Jail.
1904 Hours: During a bicycle stop on Cedar Boulevard, Officer Jackman arrested a 32 year old transient female for possession of drug paraphilia and giving false information to a Police Officer. The suspect was booked at the Santa Rita Jail
