We have had such a good response and turnout from our first few Coffee & Cocoa with the Cops events that we've set up another round starting this week!

If you'd like an opportunity to sit down and chat with Danville Police, the schedule coming up includes:

Thursday, May 5, 2016 - Christy's Donuts on Diablo Rd - 6:30am - 8:30am
Thursday, May 12,2016 - Starbucks at the Rose Garden - 7:30am - 9:30am
Thursday, May 19, 2016 - Peet's Coffee & Tea on Railroad Ave 11:00am - 1:00pm
Friday, May 27, 2016 - Sideboard on Railroad Ave 11:30am - 1:30pm

We have received feedback that there are residents who would like some evening or weekend events and we are working on getting some of those set up. This weekend, May 7, 2016, residents can come down to the Veterans Memorial Building, 400 Hartz Avenue, and attend a Town Hall event where the focus of the discussion will be public safety and crime prevention. From 10:00am - 11:00am Danville Mayor Karen Stepper, Contra Costa County Sheriff David Livingston and Danville Police Chief Steve Simpkins will discuss current crime trends and law enforcement efforts to respond to these trends.

Then from 11:00am - 12:00pm residents can talk to police officers and volunteers in an Open House style format with information tables featuring the Volunteers in Police (VIPs) program, Danville Citizen's Police Academy, K-9 program and crime prevention.

Lots of opportunities to meet and chat with the officers of the Danville Police Department coming up. Hope to see you there!
