Over 300 lbs of Unwanted Prescription Drugs collected!

On Saturday, April 30, 2016, the Signal Hill Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) collected unwanted prescription drugs to help prevent pill abuse and to safely dispose of the expired drugs.  Between 10AM and 2PM, approximately 16 boxes of unwanted prescription drugs were collected, which weighed over 300 pounds. Please be advised disposing of unused medicines, by flushing them down the toilet or throwing them in the trash, pose potential safety and health hazards. The Signal Hill Police Department has a drop-box located in the lobby for you to safely discard your unwanted prescription drugs.
