The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community.

April 27th.

1058 Hours: Officer Fredstrom conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by a 38 year old male from Oakland. The suspect was driving on a suspended license and was in possession drug paraphernalia. The suspect was released on a citation and the vehicle was towed.

1625 Hours: Officer Khairy initiated a traffic stop on the 37900 block of Cedar Boulevard.
A 25 year old Fremont Male was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and
driving with a suspended license. The suspect was booked at the Santa Rita Jail.

2226 Hours: Officer Geser responded to a disturbance on the 6200 block of Bellhaven Avenue. A 45 year old Newark male was in violation of a criminal protective order and was arrested and booked at the Fremont Jail.
