Narrative: Information about marijuana and cocaine sales led to the arrest of Daniel Forhan for narcotics and firearm related charges.

During this investigation, detectives received information Forhan was selling cocaine and marijuana in the City of Oxnard. Detectives obtained a search warrant for Forhan, his vehicle and his residence.

On April 22, 2016, the Ventura County Narcotics Task Force arrested Forhan for possession of cocaine for sales in the 1600 Block of S. Victoria Avenue in the City of Oxnard. Detectives served a search warrant at Forhan’s residence in the 700 Block of Halifax Lane in the City of Oxnard. Narcotics detectives searched Forhan’s residence and located over 100 pounds of marijuana, over 5 ounces of cocaine, over 700 hydrocodone pills, almost two ounces of concentrated cannabis, 5 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, a small amount of methamphetamine, and a large sum of U.S. currency concealed inside the residence. The amount of cocaine seized would provide over 1400 doses of cocaine to a user with a street value in excess of $14,000.00. The street value of the hydrocodone pills is in excess of $3,500.00 and the street value of the marijuana seized is in excess of $450,000.00 (based on the gross gram street value).

Forhan was arrested for several charges related to possession of narcotics for sale and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm and ammunition. Forhan was booked into the Ventura County Jail and his bail was set at $250,000.00.

The West County Street Team is made up of Sheriff’s Office, Santa Paula Police Department, and the Oxnard Police Department narcotics detectives working cooperatively in the investigation of narcotics offenses occurring in the western portion of Ventura County.
