On Saturday, April 23, 2016, at approximately 9:44 PM, Turlock Police responded to the 300 block of W. Hawkeye Avenue on a call of a male subject that was shot. Officers arrived on scene to find Falane Jones, a 37 year old male victim, from Turlock with life threatening gunshot wounds. Jones was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The firearm has not been recovered. The investigation is on-going and no additional information will be released at this time.
