PRESS RELEASE: PSPD asking for assistance/information on Felony Vandalism Incidents

On Sunday, April 24, 2016, at approximately 8:20 PM, PSPD received two reports of vandalism in the area of 1200 South Palm Canyon Drive and 500 East Palm Canyon Drive. PSPD learned that a vehicle was parked and unoccupied in the 500 block of East Palm Canyon Drive and was struck by a few BBs, causing damage to one window and damage to the exterior of the vehicle. A Buzz Trolley traveling southbound on South Palm Canyon Drive near Morongo Road was struck by two BBs, causing damage to two windows. There were no passengers on the trolley during the incident. PSPD searched the area for the suspect(s) and located two unoccupied businesses between 1200 and 1500 South Palm Canyon Drive that had windows that had also been damaged by BBs.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect(s) used BBs to damage the windows.
