On Thursday, April 21, 2016, there was an incident on the campus of West Ranch High School, located in the 26200 block of Valencia Boulevard, Stevenson Ranch. A student assaulted a special education student, while a bystander caught it on video and later posted on social media outlets.   

On April 22, 2016, one of the students involved was arrested and detained on a Battery charge.

The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station detectives, along with West Ranch Administrators, and the William S. Hart Union High School District Administration have been working together to investigate this incident.

The investigation is on-going and there is no additional information available at this time.
