2 Arrests for Larceny From Vehicle

April 21, 2016 2 Arrests for Larceny From Vehicle Dearborn, Mi. — On Tuesday April 19, 2016 at approximately 4:30am the Dearborn Police responded to the 6000 block of Mead on a report of two men breaking into vehicles. The caller witnessed two men enter an unlocked vehicle and they attempted to enter another vehicle nearby. Dearborn Police Officers witnessed the two men enter several vehicles and watched them attempt to enter several others; though they could not gain entry because the vehicles were locked. The suspects were arrested and numerous articles of stolen property were recovered. The suspects, both Dearborn residents, were identified as twenty-three year old Torki HASSAN and nineteen year old Ali ALDUBAILY. HASSAN and ALDUBAILY were both charged with Larceny from Auto and Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle. They were arraigned in the 19th District Court by the Honorable Judge Sam Salamey, a Probable Cause Conference was scheduled for April 29, 2016 and a Preliminary Exam date of May 6, 2016 at 9:00m has been set. HASSAN’s bond was set at $25,000/10% and ABDULBAILY’s was set at $20,000/10%. Both will be required to wear a GPS tether if they post bond. Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad stated, “Crime prevention is a collaborative effort with the police and our community. These suspects were responsible for dozens of larcenies during this crime spree and I urge citizens to be vigilant in securing their vehicles. This crime spree is an example why the Lock it or Lose it campaign for educating the public is important.”
