The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community. 
April 20th.
1438 Hours: Officer Knutson accepted a Citizen’s Arrest at JC Penney of a 25 year old Fremont female for shoplifting.The suspect was released on a citation.
2020 Hours: Officer Jackman accepted a Citizen’s Arrest at JC Penney of a 74 year old transient female for petty theft. The suspect was booked at the Fremont Jail.
