Deputies arrest three people during search for armed robbers.

On April 19, 2016, around 4:25 PM, Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office Deputies heard the Santa Rosa Police Department responding to an armed robbery that just occurred at a hotel on Corby Road in Santa Rosa. A victim was held-up and robbed at gunpoint. Our Deputies went into the area to see if they could help find the three suspects – described as two men and a woman with long, dark hair.

About eight minutes later, just as SRPD Officers went into the hotel room, a dark sedan drove out of the parking lot. The car drove toward our Deputies and they saw two men in the front and a woman with long, dark hair seated in back. The patrol unit made a u-turn and stopped the car near the railroad tracks.

The driver was ordered out of the car and pat searched for weapons. Hidden in his pants was a loaded pistol. He was also carrying concealed in his clothing a switchblade, brass knuckles, and tear gas canister. Next to where he had been seated in the car was more ammunition, a ski mask and a holster for the pistol. There were also syringes, a spoon, a small scale and a meth pipe.

The female passenger in the car was also detained and it was discovered that she was carrying heroin and methamphetamine.
The other man in the car had a felony No Bail warrant from another county for possession of a controlled substance for sale and violation of probation.

The driver was Nicolas Hayes, a 30 year old man from Santa Rosa, was arrested and booked for being a felon in possession of a firearm, a felon in possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm, carrying a concealed firearm, carrying a switchblade, possession of metal knuckles and felon in possession of pepper spray. He later posted the $30,000 bail and will appear in court on April 25 at 8:30.

Amber Glenn, a 29 year old from Santa Rosa, was arrested and booked for possession of controlled substances. She was released with her promise to appear in court on April 25 at 8:30.

Robert Carroll, a 50 year old transient, from was arrested for his outstanding felony warrant. He remains in custody.

None of these three people were identified as suspects from the armed robbery.
