The funeral for Prince George’s County Firefighter, John Ulmschneider, will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Hollywood, MD. The funeral is expected to draw hundreds of mourners.
Motorists should anticipate heavy delays in the area of Route 235 and St. John’s Road throughout the day. Additionally, motorists should be prepared for pedestrians and an increased presence of large fire trucks and apparatus in the area.
Specific Traffic Advisories:
St. John’s Road in front of St. John’s Church will be closed for funeral traffic only from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
One lane will be open for traffic on Route 235 southbound
Route 235 northbound will be open; however, no left turns onto St. John’s Road will be permitted
