Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives responded to 233^rd Street East, three tenths of a mile North of Highway 18, Llano, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a man. The body was discovered on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at approximately 12:07 p.m.

When homicide detectives arrived, they learned that Palmdale Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to the location for a “Person down” call. Upon their arrival, they found a male adult suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The date and time of death, as well as, the cause of death and identification will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.

The investigation is still ongoing. There is no further information at this time.

The victim was found by recreational shooters in the area.
