***Suspect and Vehicle Identified*** for Incident Involving Student who Thwarted Man's Attempt to Get Her in Car 
The Santa Clarita Sheriff's Station wishes to thank the public for the tips provided that led to the identification of the vehicle and suspect who was involved in an incident reported this morning.
The front desk at the Sheriff's Station received a call this evening from a caller who recognized the vehicle from the photo attached to the previous Nixle report. The vehicle and suspect have been identified, and Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station Detectives are actively investigating the incident.
The incident earlier reported a female 9th grade student that was walking to school in the Soledad Canyon Road/ Shangri-La Drive area of Canyon Country when she was approached by a man driving a dark green Audi convertible who slowed down and shouted for her to, "Get in the car." The student started yelling at him, creating a commotion which caused the suspect to drive off.
