#003  Auto Burglary

At 5:41 a.m. officers responded to the 3900 block of Washington Blvd to investigate an auto burglary that had occurred sometime between 5:15 a.m. and the time the victim called.  The unknown suspect smashed the rear side passenger window and took her purse which had been on the back seat.  Documented by Officer Gregory.

#006 Commercial Burglary Attempt

CSO Anders investigated a commercial burglary on the 37400 block of Fremont Blvd.  The burglary occurred overnight. The unknown suspect(s) broke a hole in the glass entry door, but the double keyed dead bolt prevented entry!  Two older security vehicles were also vandalized. 

#020 Felony Warrant Arrest

At approximately 4:30 p.m., Officer Hollifield conducted a pedestrian stop on an adult male in Niles.  The male was found to have two felony warrants and was arrested. 

#029 Elder Abuse (financial)

At 3:26 p.m., Officer Stillitano was detailed to investigate an incident involving the theft of funds.  The reporting party told dispatch that her adult son had stolen thousands of dollars from her.  The son, a 48 year old adult male, was arrested for theft from an elder, forgery and grand theft. 

#032 Suspicious Circumstances

At 7:36 p.m., Officer Crow and FTO Harvey were detailed to Maple St. regarding a possible vehicle vs pedestrian collision, where the vehicle fled and a male was laying in the street.  Upon arriving, the male was being treated by Fremont Fire and the involved vehicle had left the scene.   Witnesses advised that the male had been riding on the hood of the vehicle for an unknown reason.  The male had attempted to stop the vehicle from leaving the area and jumped on the hood.  The vehicle fled the area with the male on the car and when the driver applied her brakes, the male fell to the ground.  The driver was described as a black female in her early 20's  in an older model Toyota Tercel 4-door, maroon in color.  The vehicle was not located.  The male advised he was knocked unconscious and could not remember what happened.  The male was transported to a regional trauma center for medical care.  Investigation is continuing.   

#036 Possession of a Switch Blade

At 9:39 p.m., Officer J. Hernandez conducted a pedestrian stop on the 4100 block of Colby Street.  The 46 year old adult male, Fremont resident was found to be on searchable probation.  During a search, a switch blade was found in his possession.  The male was arrested for the violation.
