NARRATIVE:
On April 18th, 2016 at 12:50 pm patrols responded to a suspicious vehicle that was parked in front of an unoccupied residence on Logan Road. When officers arrived on location they found that the vehicle in question had already left the area. A short time later the vehicle, a 2002 white Dodge Pickup truck, was observed by Officer Marino parked at a convenience store located on Deal Road. Further investigation revealed that the occupants of the vehicle, later identified as Nicholas Sanchez and Anthony Moretto, were found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition, officers also located a significant amount of copper piping in the back of the Dodge pickup. It was later determined that the pipe was stolen from the crawl space area of the residence on Logan Road. The investigation also revealed that Sanchez and Moretto worked for a company that had been contracted by a bank to maintain the home due to a recent foreclosure.
Both subjects were subsequently taken into custody and transported to the station for further processing
Nicholas Sanchez was charged with Burglary, Theft, Criminal Mischief and Possession of Burglary Tools. In addition to the crimes related to the residence he was charged with being in Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Hypodermic Syringes.
