April 18th.

1238 Hours: A 29 year old Newark woman self-surrendered to Officer Mapes in the Newark Police Department lobby. The suspect was booked at the Fremont Jail on her outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

1354 Hours: Officer Nobbe was flagged down by a 70 year old Newark male in front of his residence on the 37400 block of Cherry Street. The resident reported that someone had broken into his garage and stolen his tools.

1441 Hours: Officer Mapes contacted a 58 year old Newark male during a pedestrian-stop. The suspect had an outstanding arrest warrant for obstructing a Police Officer out of Fremont.
The suspect was arrested and booked at the Fremont Jail.

2034 Hours: Officer Jackman investigated a hit & run traffic collision involving a parked car on Cedar Blvd.

2034 Hours: Officer Geser responded to an attempted robbery at the O’Reilly Auto Parts Store on Cedar Boulevard. An unknown race male (with a red colored shirt pulled up over his face) attempted to force store employees to open the safe at knifepoint. The suspect fled on foot out of the back of the store when the employee’s couldn’t open the safe.

2034 Hours: Officer Smith responded to a traffic collision involving a car hitting a fire hydrant that occurred on Fircrest St. near Jarvis Avenue.
