#012 Mental Health Evaluation
A family calls FPD to report that a 50 year old family member had not been taking his medication. Further information was that he was threatening to harm himself at one point armed himself with a knife. The male initially fled prior to police arrival, but returned after a few minutes. After an interview, the adult male was placed on a hold and transported to a hospital for a mental health evaluation. Incident documented by Officer Meredith.
#023 and 024 Hit and Run Property Damage Collisions
Officer T. Bobbitt was detailed to Walgreens on Decoto Rd. where a collision occurred. The male driver of a 99 GMC pulled over initially, then fled the location and struck another vehicle. He fled that collision as well. Officer Bobbitt is following up on both cases.
#033 Suspicious Circumstances
Officer Stillitano was detailed to a bank in the area of Fremont and Beacon St regarding two females who were “Shoulder Surfing” attempting to access other’s bank accounts. Officer Zargham and Stillitano set up surveillance and saw two females hanging out at the ATMs, walking up behind customers who were using the ATMs. No crime was witnessed and no victims were located. The two females were stopped as they were leaving the area. A male was found to be with the females and all were identified, no crime was substantiated on this date. Investigation continuing.
#034 Residential Burglary
At 8:46 p.m., Officer Zargham and several other officers were dispatched to the 42000 block of Loma Dr where the caller heard the window break in his basement. Officers arrived, set up a perimeter and cleared the residence. Officers found that an unknown suspect(s) had entered the basement through an unlocked window. The suspect did a quick search and took jewelry. The suspect was not located. Ongoing investigation by Officer Zargham
#001 Residential Burglary
Shortly after the resolution of the above call, a cold burglary was reported on nearby Verde Way. A neighborhood canvas revealed possible video evidence from a residence on Linmore Dr. Case investigated by Officer J. Hernandez.
#040 Robbery
At 11:25 p.m., officers were dispatched to a battery incident involving three males in the area of the 3700 block of Beacon Ave. Upon arrival, officers learned that two subjects battered and robbed the third subject. The loss was cash. Case investigated by Officer Carter and FTO Macciola.
#011 DUI Arrest
At 4:43 a.m., officers were dispatched to a report of a person driving recklessly in the area of Sacramento and Logan. The 18 year old adult male driver was contacted and arrested for DUI. Case investigated by Officer A. Gregory.

#021 At 10:05 a.m., Officer Meridith arrested a 56 year old adult male, Hayward resident on the 34000 block of Fremont Blvd. for a misdemeanor traffic warrant.
#017 and 018 Commercial Burglary
Unknown suspect(s) broke into two commercial businesses (46000 block) of Mission Blvd. Loss was cash and checks. CSO Ernst investigating.
#030 Under the Influence of Drugs
At approximately 4:35 p.m., Officer Layfield contacted a 34 year old adult male, Fremont resident on High St. The male was found to be under the influence of drugs and was arrested.
#036 Violation of a Court Order
At approximately 8:25 a.m., Officer Richards was detailed to the McDonald’s on Decoto Rd. regarding a male exposing himself to customers. Officer Richards responded and located the subject, who was restrained from the location, due to a previous incident. No indecent exposure had occurred.
160417001 – PC 148 –
Officer Carter and FTO Macciola attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of five corners. The vehicle immediately fled and violated numerous vehicles codes. Officers were able to provide a description and license plate of the vehicle. Shortly thereafter, Officer Hernandez observed the vehicle entering north bound I880 at Automall. Dispatch advised that the owner of the vehicle, a 34 year old adult male, Newark resident, was on probation with a search clause. Officer Navas then observed the vehicle smoking and traveling at a slow rate of speed along the right shoulder of I880 north near Mowry. Officer Navas attempted to stop the vehicle while other units responded to assist. The vehicle stopped near I880/ Thornton and the male was taken into custody for obstructing/resisting, evading peace officers, driving with a suspended license and for a probation violation.

#009 Shooting Incident
At 8:26 a.m., officers were detailed to the area of Blacow Rd and Coco Palm on the report of a shooting. Witnesses reported that occupants of a newer black model sedan fired several rounds from a handgun at a vehicle occupied by a male driver. Officers recovered shell casings from the scene. The victim vehicle was also found to have several bullet holes in it. The investigation remains ongoing. Incident documented by CSI Gaziano.
#011 Auto Burglary
A suspect was seen breaking into a vehicle near Trampini and Capriana Common. The suspect was described as a white female adult, approximately 30 year old, with blonde hair and an associated white Toyota Camry.
#015 Attempt Commercial Burglary
An unknown suspect attempted to defeat a receiving door sometime Friday night. No suspect leads. Incident documented by CSO Ernst.
#019 Brandishing a Knife
A private property non-injury collision occurred in the CVS Lot at the Hub. After the collision one party felt threatened by the other and displayed a knife in self-defense. The victim of the brandishing did not want to press charges. Accident and incident documented by K9 Officer Layfield.
#039 Residential Burglary
At 5:58 p.m., CSO Baca investigated a residential burglary in the 35900 block of Niles Blvd. Forced entry was made through the front door.
#042 Assault with a Deadly Weapon/Stabbing
At 9:04 p.m., a stabbing occurred on the 39200 block of Paseo Padre Pkwy after the suspect was confronted by a customer for stealing alcohol. The suspect stabbed the victim several times and then ran from the scene on foot with his accomplice. Numerous units checked the area conducting multiple pedestrian stops, but the suspect was not located. The 48 year old adult male victim, Fremont resident, was transported to a trauma center in stable condition. The weapon was found in the area of the attack. Officer Carter and FTO Macciola are investigating. Suspect #1 was described as a black male adult with dread locks, wearing a long brown jacket and a back pack. Suspect # 2 was described as a black male adult, 25-30 years old, approximately 5’08” – 5’10”, medium build, with dread locks, wearing shorts.
