Serious Injury Accident in the 700 block of E Street in Chula Vista 
On April 17, 2016, at approximately 9:45 PM, Chula Vista Police responded to a reported vehicle versus pedestrian accident on the 700 block of E Street in Chula Vista. The pedestrian was crossing the street illegally northbound on E Street and was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound on E Street.
Paramedics transported the pedestrian with multiple injuries to UCSD Medial Trauma Center. At time of this release, the pedestrian was receiving medical treatment for serious injuries sustained during the accident.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested for suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol. The CVPD Traffic bureau is investigating the accident.
