The Cass County Drug Enforcement Team announces that on April 14, 2016 detectives observed a suspicious vehicle on M-62 E in Lagrange Township. Detectives had a Cass County Deputy make a traffic stop on the vehicle at M-62 and Twin Lakes Rd in Lagrange Township. Upon making contact with the vehicle, the passenger, a 38 year old female, advised that she had warrants for her arrest. A search of her person also found a small plastic Ziploc bag containing crystal methamphetamine and two controlled prescription drugs with no prescription for either. The passenger was placed under arrest for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a schedule II and schedule V controlled substance. The driver was allowed to leave the scene. The female’s name is being withheld pending arraignment. The investigation is still ongoing at this time.
