OSBI Agents Arrest Blaine Co. Man on Multiple Child Sex Crimes
Agents with the OSBI Internet Crimes Against Children Unit arrested a Blaine County man today on numerous felonies involving sex crimes against a child. The investigation began in Sparta, Tennessee, where the male suspect was sexting an 11-year-old Tennessee girl. The investigation determined the male suspect lived in Geary, Oklahoma. Sparta police requested OSBI pick up the investigation. OSBI agents tracked Jason Edgar Daniel (d.o.b. 3/5/1986) to his home at 121 SW Embree Drive in Geary. Agents conducted a search warrant and found four computer-related devices containing child pornography. Agents arrested Daniel on five counts of lewd or indecent proposals to a child under sixteen, 10 counts of solicitation of a minor by technology, four counts of possession of child pornography, and one count of Violation of Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act. Daniel admitted to agents that he regularly sought young girls on on-line meeting sites and exchanged sexually explicit conversations and pornographic pictures with them. Daniel was booked into the Blaine County jail. His mug shot is attached to this release. Sparta, Tennessee, police were alerted to these criminal acts by the victim’s mother who found explicit messages and pictures on her 11-year-old daughter’s phone.
