Chemical Endangerment Arrest
(Etowah County, Alabama) An Altoona woman has been arrested for chemical endangerment of a child, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
"Kasey Brooke Alford, 27, of Altoona, was arrested and is charged with chemical endangerment of exposing a child to an environment in which controlled substances are ingested, produced or distributed, which is a felony,” Lieutenant Robin Grant said.
Alford admitted to illegally using heroin during her pregnancy.
Alford was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center with a $10,000 cash bond. As a condition of the bond, she must complete a drug treatment program and will be supervised by Etowah County Community Corrections.
