Newark, Fremont and Union City Police will begin distracted driving special enforcement today in conjunction with National Distracted Driving Awareness Month campaign. Agencies across the county will be cracking down on drivers illegally using their phones from 4/7 through 4/16 as part of this efforts.
We are urging drivers to take "The Pledge" to not drive distracted. Pledge forms can be found at Distraction.gov.
