Multiple search warrants lead to large drug seizure; one suspect at large

MOSES LAKE, Wash. (06APR2016) – Two people are jailed, one person is at large and illegal drugs and drug proceeds seized during search warrants in the Moses Lake and Warden this week.

Based on information gathered during an investigation, Moses Lake Police on Sunday raided a home at 9791 Olympic Drive Northeast where they seized a handgun, over 30 grams of heroin, 10 grams of methamphetamine, and nearly $10,000 in drug proceeds. Salvador Contreras-Garcia, 23, was arrested there on drug charges.

Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team (INET) investigators then gathered more information and received a warrant to search other buildings on the Olympic Drive property, where INET and Moses Lake Police on Sunday found 1.5 lbs. of methamphetamine, one-half pound of heroin and an assault rifle.

An arrest warrant was issued for the owner of the Olympic Drive home, Adrian Contreras Garcia, age 32, whom investigators believe is a part of the drug operation. His car was found Wednesday at a home at 409 South Main Street in Warden. Investigators served a search warrant on the home where they seized about $3,000 in drug proceeds along with drugs and paraphernalia. Contreras Garcia’s girlfriend, 28-year-old Cristina Hernandez Silva, was at the home and was arrested for possession of forged documents. She faces additional drug-related charges.

The street value of the narcotics seized in the combined raids is estimated at $85,000. Investigators also seized five vehicles associated with the trafficking of narcotics.

Adrian Contreras Garcia remains at large. His photo is attached to this news release, along with a photo of a portion of the seized meth.

Anyone with information on where Garcia is should call 509-762-1160, or send information to [email protected]. Tipsters can remain anonymous.

“The success of busting this drug operation was because of cooperation between INET, Moses Lake Police and Warden Police,” said Sheriff Tom Jones. “This type of teamwork happens every day and is all focused on making our communities safer.”
