April 4, 2016, the Caddo County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI investigate a jail death at the Caddo County jail. Darius Randell Robinson (d.o.b. 11/26/1974) was arrested in Oklahoma County April 1, 2016, on four child support warrants. He was then transferred to the Caddo County where the warrants were issued. The evening of April 4, Robinson attempted to escape his cell when jailers entered to clear items from the cell he had destroyed. When jailers attempted to restrain Robinson, he stopped breathing. Jail staff attempted CPR and resuscitated Robinson, but he later died at the hospital in Anadarko. The medical examiner will perform an autopsy to determine the exact cause and manner of death.
