April 1st, the Jackson Police Department had six recruits to graduate the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy Basic Police School.

Graduation

On April 1st, the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy in Donelson conducted a commencement ceremony for Class 1787.

All graduating officers had to complete ten weeks of intense training which included instructions in Defensive Tactics, Emergency Vehicle Operations, and Deadly Force along with numerous other topics.

Six recruits of the Jackson Police Department successfully completed all requirements for the Basic Police School thereby earning the opportunity to participate in the commencement ceremony.

Officer James Gibbons earned the Outstanding Officer Award and officer Kennis Shell was the Chaplain during the ten week training cycle.

Chief Julian Wiser, Captain Landreth, and Captain Siler traveled to Donelson to participate in the graduation ceremony.

Congratulations Corey Compton, James Gibbons Jr., Princeton Hardin, Jennifer Johnston, Jack Miller and Kennis Shell.
