Employee of the Month

The Jackson Police Department is pleased to announce the April Employee of the Month selection, Mrs. Sharon Massey. Mrs. Massey is an Executive Secretary in the Administrative Division and has fourteen years with the department. She handles special events such as: The Andy Bailey 5K, Brockmeyer Scramble, and the upcoming Chief's Challenge.

Sharon takes pride in the work she does and always goes the extra mile to make sure that the work is done properly. She is always involved and was a key participant in the creation of the Jackson Police Department Community Fund. To date, the above mentioned events have raised upwards of $8,000 that she manages through the West Tennessee Health Care Foundation. The funds are dispersed throughout the community and the department to help make Jackson a better place.

Sharon is involved with the Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network as a liaison for the department. She is also on the Team Mica Suicide Prevention task force, where she helps others who are coping with the loss of a family member or people who are contemplating suicide. Her sole reason for doing this is to battle suicide, as it has directly affected her own personal life.

Sharon is a loving wife to her husband Adam and they have three children together, two boys Aaron and Ayson Massey and a daughter Adalay Massey. She participates heavily in travel ball league with her oldest son, Aaron.
