The San Dimas Stage Race

April 1, 2, and 3, 2016

Come out to see some exciting cycling, the best Southern California has to offer.  PLEASE drive safely if you’re in the area this weekend.  Lots of cyclists and other visitors will be warming up on our local streets.

San Dimas, California - The San Dimas Stage Race (SDSR) IS almost here. The SDSR is a premier bicycle race which attracts top flight riders and teams in all categories and provides great entertainment for spectators of all ages. Now in its 17th year, the race is hosted by Southern California Velo (SC Velo), presented by GMR.bike, supported by terrific sponsors, and staffed by dedicated volunteers led by Race Director Al Wiscovitch.

The race consists of three exciting stages in three great venues:

·        A challenging Time Trial up Glendora Mountain Road (GMR) on Friday, April 1st, sponsored by Main Street Garage.

·        A grueling classic Road Race around Bonelli Park on Saturday, April 2nd, sponsored by San Dimas Community Hospital.

·        A fast and furious Criterium around downtown San Dimas on Sunday, April 3rd, sponsored by Incycle bike stores and Cannondale bikes.

All three stages offer great opportunities for riders to excel and for cycling fans to see exciting pro and amateur racing up close. If you can only attend one day, come on Sunday and enjoy our Expo along with the race. There are no admission fees for watching the races.

Set with the San Gabriel Mountains as a backdrop, the San Dimas Stage Race will deliver a fine 3 day stage race. It is challenging, demanding, and fun!

From weekend warriors to full time professionals, children’s’ community race to pro women, we hope that this race will inspire everyone that is involved from athletes, spectators, volunteers and sponsors!

Race day starts on April 1st, 2016 with Stage 1. Stage 2 and 3 follow on April 2nd and April 3rd.
