Houston, TX- On April 1st, 2016 at 1:00 PM, The Children’s Assessment Center’s Executive Director Elaine Stolte will be joined by Crime Stoppers of Houston’s Executive Director, Rania Mankarious, Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Major Woody Mitchell and Harris County District Attorney Devon Anderson at a press conference to recognize April as Child Abuse Prevention Month and to bring much needed attention to the issues of child abuse intervention and prevention.

During the press conference, The Children’s Assessment Center will discuss the importance of educating the community about the signs and symptoms of child abuse and will highlight its Keeping Children Safe Trainings that will be held free to the public throughout the month of April along.

Crime Stoppers of Houston will launch their April Safe Community Program Highlighting Fugitive Sex Offenders in Harris County.

Supporting Comments will be made by both the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.
