The Cass County Drug Enforcement Team announces that on March 30, 2016 detectives searched a residence in the 200 block of McOmber St in the City of Dowagiac on suspicion that methamphetamine was being used and manufactured there. Detectives located three methamphetamine labs in the garage and two methamphetamine labs in a vehicle at the residence. Some methamphetamine was also located inside the residence. A 42 year old female and a 34 year old male were placed under arrest for the methamphetamine labs. During a search of the female suspect detectives located some more methamphetamine. A search of a second vehicle at the residence detectives located methamphetamine paraphernalia along with methamphetamine. The two suspects were taken to the Cass County Jail and lodged for manufacturing methamphetamine, maintaining a lab creating hazardous waste, possession of methamphetamine, and maintaining a lab within 500 feet of a residence/school/church. Their names are being withheld pending arraignment.
